Ever wanted to drive your Porsche the way Stuttgart intended? If so then the PCA High Performance Drivers Education (HPDE) program might be for you. On Saturday March 18, Cimarron Region is hosting a 1 day instructed HPDE event at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit just west of Tulsa. For more details on the exciting world of PCA Drivers Education CLICK HERE. Read the description of what HPDE is, then look for the Tips link on the left side of the page. The only things you need to participate are a Porsche in good mechanical condition (must pass tech inspection and pre-event inspection at the track the day of the event), a Snell SA-2010 or better rated helmet (less than $200) and a willingness to learn. There might be helmets available for rent at the track but they get reserved pretty quick so call ahead and see if any are available.
To register for the event, go to www.clubregistration.net. This is the website used by PCA and other clubs to handle registration and payment for HPDE, Club Races and other club sponsored driving events. You will have to create a free account to search and register for events.
The Hallett track is a very nice facility that includes a lunch counter, plenty of parking and really nice folks.
