The White River Region Porsche Club of America (WRR) is a fairly new region of the Porsche Club of America, Inc., (PCA) under a charter granted in 2012. WRR is among approximately 139 chartered regions of PCA, and is located in PCA Zone 5.
WRR members stress the following objectives:
-The enjoyment and sharing of goodwill and fellowship by owning a Porsche and engaging in social and other events as decided by the membership each year.
-The maintenance of the high standards of operation and performance of the Porsche marque by sharing technical and mechanical information and help.
-The establishment and maintenance of relationships with Porsche AG, its representatives, dealers and service sources.
-The interchange of ideas and suggestions with other Porsche clubs throughout the world.
-Offer a wide range of activities, including drivers education, rallies, drives, tours, car shows and social activities. Most importantly, offers a camaraderie among those of us dedicated to the Porsche marque. Our monthly newsletter, White River Rolling, provides informative articles on Club activities, a calendar of events, technical information, and other matters of interest to our membership.
Drivers Education
WRR does not offer a drivers education program which allows you to learn how to drive your car in a performance driving setting. However, WRR joins the Cimarron Region in nearby Oklahoma when they host HPDE events. These events are held several times a year at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit in Jennings, OK.
Rallies
WRR has recently added TSD and gimmick rallies to our event calendar. We are learning as we go but the main goal is to have fun doing it.
Car Shows
Each year in November, WRR in concert with Ozark and Cimarron Regions hosts the Porsche Palooza in Eureka Springs, AR. The three day event includes a popular vote show and shine, dinners, multiple tours and vendors. We also join in on several local car shows.
Autocross
Working on this. Stay tuned.
Drives
These events offer our membership the opportunity to drive their Porsches as a group to a given destination. Routes are chosen for their scenic beauty and interest to the participants.
In addition to driving related events, WRR holds several get-togethers annually. Could be a breakfast, a lunch or a dinner event.
